Two weeks after winning the “Concert/Musical Show of the Year” (Spectacle musical/Tournée/Concert) award at France’s 32nd edition of “Victoires de la Musique”, French-Lebanese trumpet player and teacher and composer Ibrahim Maalouf won a César for “Best Original Score” at France’s most prominent film awards. Maalouf was nominated for the same category two years ago as well but did not win.

Here’s a [video] showing Maalouf receiving his award and an [interview] after the awards ceremony. It is worth noting that another Lebanese, Gabriel Yared, was also nominated under the same category.
