A friend of mine compiled the TMC stats for car accidents during the month of August and shared them in a graph. The numbers are alarming to say the least and nothing much (as usual) is being done to prevent further accidents and promote road safety.

I’m not sure how the numbers compare to previous months or last year, but 437 car accidents resulting in 40 casualties and over 600 injuries is A LOT in one month! The speed fines issued on a monthly basis by the ISF are obviously not helping, add to that the ever degrading state of roads in Lebanon and lack of proper lighting.
