I finally created a fan page for BlogBaladi on Facebook. It will be updated daily with Blog posts and some other non-Blog material that we feel like sharing.
Feel free to join in [Here].

Search for Lebanese Blog on Google and BlogBaladi shows up on top. That doesn’t mean it’s the #1 blog but it’s pretty cool. [BlogBaladi]

CNN just released their “Ten must-read blogs from the Middle East” and both Maya and I have made the list! That’s pretty cool, check out the article [Here]

BlogBaladi has officially turned 1! We turned one actually over a week ago but I didn’t think to check our launch date until Danielle posted about her blog turning one a few days back.

In order to thank our readers for coming here and reading what we have to say day after day, we decided to giveaway a pair of amazing Skullcandy GI Shoe Blue Headphones in collaboration with the cool people from Skullcandy Levant. Here is a link to their very active Facebook page [Link]
How do you win this awesome headphone?
You simply need to wish us a happy birthday either on your blog, twitter or even Facebook. Then just leave a comment below with a link to your greeting.
The post will be closed on March 18th and the winner will be announced on the same day.
Special thanks to the incredibly talented Maya Zankoul for the awesome Rass el Abed, aka Tarboush cake!

BlogBaladi was featured in the latest issue of Crepaway’s magazine, Hangout. The magazine is available at their branches but here is a scan of the interview [Link]
Thank you Crepaway for featuring us in your magazine.

My brother made me this little podium for my birthday with BlogBaladi as #1 ahead of Facebook and YouTube. I thought it was cute so I am sharing it.

BlogBaladi featured in the Communicate Levant Edition Magazine in its February 2010 edition. This is the second time we are mentioned in the Blogosphere section of the magazine.

I was checking the blog BeirutSpring this morning when I noticed it got hacked. I am not sure but I think it is the same guy who hacked Al-Akhbar website few weeks back, or at least both are Saudis or claim they are.
Hope the site will be back asap and let us know if we can help you in anyway Mustapha.
Update: BeirutSpring is back on!
For the past couple of days I was trying a new commenting system called Disqus. Due to some complaints I decided to uninstall it but sadly I couldn’t retrieve the comments from the past 2 days. Even though I am supposed to be able to recover the comments I kept getting an error so I had to make a choice, either uninstall Disqus and lose the comments from the past two days or leave Disqus so not to lose any comments. I decided to uninstall Disqus and lose the comments since in the long run it’s a better move.
On the bright side you can now subscribe to comments by ticking the box below the comments submit button.
Sorry about all this.
Shift through old posts by subject.
