I was introduced to Christmas in Action last year by a friend and had the honor to meet Cynthia Bou Khater few weeks back, the woman behind this year’s biggest Christmas event and IN Action, an initiative aimed at giving art more appreciation in our market and help promote designers through exhibitions.

Christmas In Action is being held for the second year in a row at Train-station in Mar Mikhail from December 14th till December 18th. I’m a proud media partner of this year’s event and I believe everyone should be attending next week for the below VERY Convincing reasons:

It’s for a Great Cause:

The main role of Christmas in Action is to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Center Lebanon (CCCL) and designers have agreed to give out 40% of their sales to the center. The CCCL is a Lebanese Not-for-profit Foundation that treats all types of pediatric cancer for free and admits around 100 new patients every year. Given that the cost of treating a child with cancer is more than $55,000 per year, the center relies on donations and exhibitions like Christmas in Action to raise money.

By visiting the exhibition and contributing, you are helping a sick child get the proper cure and lead a cancer-free live, noting that the survival rate is around 80% at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon.

Support for Local Artists & Designers:

IN Action has been able to gather over 80 of the most talented Lebanese designers and artists in different fields and ALL will be there next week to display their products. You will find everything from jewelry, accessories, customized greeting cards, bags, home accessories, handmade gifts etc.

Fun Time For Everyone:

There’s music, entertainment and a huge kids area at this year’s Christmas in Action exhibition. The little visitors will also have a zone that is especially prepared for them to play and enjoy a large set of artistic workshops.

There’s Good Food:

Christmas in Action has a large food area and another one just for cocktails. An array of around 25 street food restaurants and Cocktail Market area will be featured in this year’s biggest Christmas Market. BBQs, burgers, sausages, desserts, tacos to name few.

You will shop for a good cause, have a good drink and feast your tummy 🙂

The exhibition opens from 3 PM till 11 PM on December 14, 15 and 16. It opens from noon till midnight on December 17th and 18th. See you all there!
