To quit or not to quit Instagram?

Instragram just updated their new terms of service today, and the fine print, while not shocking, certainly is concerning especially if you use the service to show off your work. Instagram has stated that starting on Jan. 16 the service will be able to use and sell your images for advertising without your knowledge and without offering compensation leaving users with the short end of the stick. Facebook now owns instagram and Facebook has the same term of service
    They are selling your photos by offering you free service(not free anymore)

  2. GR says:

    Will they be selling the pictures without giving credit to the owner? I honestly wouldn’t mind if they do give credit — free advertisement!

  3. Rick says:

    no credit nor anything… For FB, I always decrease the resolution prior to uploading so they’re not very useful for them… I just uninstalled instagram and FB will follow…

    i ditched InsaGharam instantly;
    i switched from FaceBook to F***Book;
    ..and i am living happily ever after :P
    (while praying F***Book will NOT publish any of my photos :|)

    May I simply just say what a comfort to discover somebody who truly knows what they are discussing on the
    net. You actually realize how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
    More people need to look at this and understand this side of your story.
    I can’t believe you aren’t more popular since you definitely have the gift.

    Review my blog; Nola
