I’ll register this week. (Kuwait)
How do we do this though??
The nearest Lebanese embassy to me is Ottawa (90 minutes by airplane from where I live and $500). No thanks.
It’s not worth it
I was informed by a friend (not trusted source) that if i register in an embassy outside Lebanon, then the following will apply:
1. I (as an expat outside Lebanon) will only be allowed to vote for few members
2. My noufous will be moved to the country where i registered and I will not be able to vote in the future from Lebanon.
Does anyone of you know about these issues???
I’ll go to the embassy tomorrow and check it out.
OK the embassy sent me the form online… I would like to share it somehow… but regarding your point Tarek it says:
أعلن عن رغبتي في الاقتراع في دولة الكويت أبان استحقاق انتخابات عام 2013، وأوافق على إدراج اسمي على القوائم الانتخابية المستقلة لسفارة لبنان في الكويت حسب توزيع الدوائر الانتخابية، وبعد توافر الشروط القانونية، وان توضع إشارة تحول دون إمكانية اقتراعي في محل إقامتي الأصلي، وأتحمل كامل المسؤولية عن صحة التدوينات والمستندات المرفقة.
This is from the form of the embassy in Kuwait where I am hence why it’s mentioned.
