“We Invent the World We Want to Live In”: This is the advertisement that littleBits has placed in Arabic on a billboard in Times Square to send out “a message of inclusivity and diversity, and hope for a peaceful future that celebrates all peoples”.

It’s a direct reply to Trump’s ban and a way to associate Arabic script with a positive message for all to see. It also reflects the team behind littleBits, a company built on diversity and founded by an Arab-American.

Quoting Ayah Bdeir, the woman behind the award-winning platform, “Our team represents the world we want to help invent — people from all over the world coming together to make a positive difference for children everywhere”.

For those of you who are not familiar with littleBits, it is a platform of easy-to-use electronic building blocks that empower you to invent anything, from your own remote controlled car, to a smart home device, and it is changing and revolutionizing the engineering landscape.
