Whether you thought the #LiveLoveLebanon was a good initiative or not, one cannot but admire the work they’ve been pulling on Instagram and Facebook and the breath-taking pictures and videos that they were sharing, up until May 2017. I have no idea what happened afterwards and who took over the page with the new minister, but they managed to turn the Facebook page into a joke!

The English is so bad, the posters and designs are shit and there’s actually a hotel promoting tourism to Lebanese Nationals only LOL! What sort of message are we sending if we’re limiting ourselves to locals? Seriously who is running this page? And WTF is that slogan “TANSAYEF SAWA”? It’s in Arabic, write it down in Arabic and why are there snowy mountains in the cover photo? It’s the SUMMER season!

Look at this shitty poster:

and look at this offer strictly to Lebanese nationals:

and look at this text promoting the first international B2B forum in Lebanon:

“Visit Lebanon is the first international B2B forum organized in Lebanon to promote its leisure tourism and Meetings & Incentive Industry. It is carried out by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism. 150 Tour operators, incentive and event agencies, corporations and associations of international scope attended “Visit Lebanon” International Forum – Beirut, May 25th and 26th 2017.
After 2 days of face-to-face meetings, networking lunches and an event evening with Lebanese professionals (ministry of tourism, agencies, DMCs, hotels and congress centres, restaurants & entertainments, airline companies, etc.), all Hosted Buyers had the opportunity to select one of the various fam trips available to them.”
