The Ministry of Culture announced today that access to the Baalbeck ruins will be free of charge for one month starting mid-September. Visitors will also have free access to the first ever contemporary art exhibition held at the UNESCO world heritage site of Baalbek.
Baalbeck is one of the most impressive sites in Lebanon and contains some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Lebanon, including one of the largest temples of the Roman empire. If you haven’t visited it yet, or cannot afford taking the whole family to visit it, here’s your chance to do so.
The usual fee for adults is LL15,000 or $10.
