Israeli forces ambushed and abducted a Lebanese Army soldier while he was traveling on his motorcycle. The incident occurred over the weekend when the soldier, identified as Ziad Chebli, was en route from the village of Halta to his hometown of Kfarchouba. Chebli sustained injuries and was transported into Israeli territory. There have been no updates regarding his release, but a source mentioned that he has undergone surgery to treat his wounds.
A Lebanese soldier was also killed over the weekend in the recent Israeli shooting incidents in Southern Lebanon.
