In this year’s edition of The World Happiness Report, Lebanon received a score of 2.7, the second worst score before Afghanistan. Lebanon ranked 142nd out of 143 countries, and is the least happy country in the Middle East after Yemen, Egypt & Jordan. I did not find Syria in the report but Palestine even scored better than us with everything happening there. The World Happiness Report then averages the score from life evaluations per country over a three-year period (2021–2023 for this year’s edition) and ranks from highest to lowest.
As far as Arab countries are concerned, Kuwait ranked first (13th globally), followed by the UAE (22nd globally), Saudi Arabia (28th globally) and Bahrain (62nd globally).
