Lebanon’s first ever McDonald’s branch on the Dora highway has undergone a major tech make-over and is now re-open to the public. We’re finally getting self-order kiosks, all the menu boards are now digital and there’s even a hi-tech table service option where you just sit and wait for your meals to be served.
I had seen the self-order kiosks abroad and they’re pretty cool. You can easily swipe through menu items, place your order and choose to pay on the cashier or using the POS machine. They have areeba POS machines linked to the kiosks which ask you to swipe/insert/tap your card once done. If you chose table service, you get a beeper with a table code number that you need to enter. Aside from the techie stuff, the branch got a new modern look and looks more spacious now.
I remember the first time I went to visit McDonald’s. It was my first time and I had no idea what to order, so I just order a cheese burger and waited in line for more than half an hour, only to get a tiny burger LOL! I still love these cheese burgers (without sauce) and they were my favorite after-party meals dipped in Bbq sauce and a chocolate sundae (extra nuts) afterwards.
Here are some pictures from the new branch:
