I’m not sure how many butterflies have survived the storm this weekend but few days ago, Lebanon witnessed a migration of butterflies in numbers unseen since 1917, according to Magda Bou Dagher Kharrat, a professor in plant genetics at Lebanon’s St Joseph University.
Reuters reported that millions crossed mountains, fields, villages and cities, and brought back reminders to some villagers of the infamous locust infestation during the Great Famine of 1915-1918.
I haven’t seen many videos of this phenomenon in the past week. If someone has pictures or videos please do share.
