Hiking to Protect The Lebanon Mountain Trail!

Fadi Baaklini and Kamal Rizk, a businessman and an architect, are hiking the Lebanon Mountain Trail on a 30 days epic journey in order to help raise funds for the protection of the LMT. Their journey kicked off on March 30th and they will be traveling through 75 villages and townships, with an average of an average of 15-18 Km per day and spaced over 8-9 hours walking per day.

This year’s LMT theme is “Hike it Protect it” as only 20% of the trail is protected.

The Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT) is the longest hiking trail in Lebanon as it pretty much covers the whole country. It extends from Kobayat in the north of Lebanon to Marjaayoun in the south, a 440 km path that transects more than 75 towns and villages at altitudes ranging from 600 to 2,000 meters above sea level.
