Horsh Beirut Reopens to The Public

Nahnoo NGO shared a live video from inside Horsh Beirut yesterday and stated that the Harsh has finally reopened to the public after a 3-month closure. Beirut’s largest green space was closed down after its pine trees came under renewed threat from invasive insects but the problem was contained a month ago. The authorities are still treating some trees inside though.

It’s definitely good news but the real problem is still elsewhere. We need more green spaces in Beirut and we need the Beirut municipality and the government to protect the remaining green spaces and not build hospitals and building around it.

Opening hours are as follows:
Weekdays from 7AM til 1PM
Weekends from 7AM til 7PM

Pets are still not allowed as far as I know.
