It’s been a few weeks now since Le Gray Beirut announced it would be reopening its doors, and it looks like it’s happening very soon—in early November. Lebanese TV host and producer Ricardo Karam posted earlier today that he was happy to see Le Gray coming back to life, possibly hinting at a soft opening ahead of the official launch.
Nevertheless, this is great news, and I’m thrilled to see this beautiful establishment open again. It was one of my favorite spots in Beirut, and I have amazing memories there, whether it was coffee breaks or quick lunches at Gordon’s Café with their incredible pain perdu, late afternoon drinks at Bar360, or dinners and Sunday brunches at Indigo on the Roof. Le Gray was a stunning venue with excellent food and a prime location in the heart of Beirut.
We don’t know much yet about the new restaurants opening there, but it promises to be something truly special, with Lebanese Michelin-starred chef Alan Geaam leading the culinary direction. After 27 years abroad, Geaam is returning to Lebanon to share his experience and shape the hotel’s new gastronomic vision.
Looking forward to its official reopening!
