Lebanese Champion Ray Bassil has won gold at the 2024 ISSF World Cup Championship, her first gold in 8 years, after a flawless last round against Penny Smith from Australia and Erica Tessa from Italy.
The last time Bassil clinched a gold medal was at the 2016 ISSF World Cup in Nicosia. Bassil was ranked 20th at the time and won against all odds after battling with Germany’s Sonja Scheibl.
At 35 years of age, Ray Bassil’s victory, in her own words, is “a testament to hard work, dedication, and unwavering focus”.
