Someone Exploited War Circumstances To Destroy Baalbek Historic House

While Israel was bombing Baalbek, a local exploited the situation to destroy a house that was deemed historic by the authorities. Governor of Baalbek & Hermel Bachir Khodr reported the matter and mentioned that the individual was arrested.

The house in the picture above already looked in bad shape, I wonder if the local authorities were planning to renovate it or they were forcing the owner to do so. While I am all for preserving historic houses, you cannot expect home owners to do so on their own without any incentives from the authorities.
