The government has apparently agreed to increase tobacco prices in Lebanon and Lebanonfiles has published the new price lists as shared by the Regie Libanaise.
I asked a couple of friends just to make sure and indeed the price of a Malboro pack has gone up and cigar prices as well. A Malboro pack now costs 3,500 LL instead of 3,250 LL, which is ridiculous to say the least.
Arguile prices were left untouched in order to avoid a nation-wide revolution.
