The “Jal el Dib Revolution” FB page is asking for a protest tomorrow at 7AM against the “2L” bridge while the Jal el Dib Municipality has banners cheering for this “2L” bridge. I tried making sense of the two proposed bridges and to be honest, I don’t see how any of them will help ease traffic. I agree that there should be a bridge there but it should a simple one that allows people to go into Jal el Dib and that’s about it. What’s with all these “2U” and “2L” and “YWXYZ” designs? And who are the engineering companies behind them?

I hope it’s not the same guy who built the Nahr el Mot Bridge LOL! I think we should start a petition to bring back the old bridge with all its cracks.
