Israel’s relentless airstrikes on Lebanon killed more than 100 people today and wounded 360. The deadliest strikes were on the town of Ain el Delb near Saida where a huge residential building collapsed killing more than 24 people and injuring 30 others. One of the victims was a young girl called Julia Ramadan who had spent the last few days helping the displaced. Julia and her mother were distributing food all day to the displaced and went back home before Israel struck.

Her last message on Facebook was a call-out to help a displaced family of 18 members in Saida.

The last few days have been so overwhelming and deadly that we find ourselves counting the dead and injured instead of saying their names. There are no official lists showing the names of those dying unfortunately and it’s impossible to cope with every victim’s story but I will try my best to highlight those I find out about like Julia.

May she rest in peace.
