Weird thing is they associate themselves with Armenia more than they do with Lebanon. They would’ve probably been better off representing Armenia. Look at our men’s soccer team, we dont have the best players exactly but everyone was playing with 100% heart and thats the big reason why they’ve reached the last round of the asian qualifiers.
At the end of the day, Lebanese Armenians are ethnic Armenians, not a sect like Shias, Sunnis, Maronites, etc… It’s more than natural for them to associate culturally with Armenia.
And at least, Armenia’s government supports its athletes, as Team Armenia came back with 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, not to mention Armenia’s athletes come out as Champions in Europe’s championships just to think that they got their independence from the Soviet Union only 20 years ago.
Well, I have watched her games and I don’t know how they have picked her for olympics… based on what? even all the other players except for Paoli.. they suck big time and we should have sent no one to represent us.. ken ahsan!!
Something about Armenians who are still willing to live in Lebanon fascinates me. Makes me want to learn how to speak Armenian.
Well they are Lebanese right? Why are you still there?…Or are you in Ottawa? 😀
