A principal at a school in the Iqlim al-Kharroub district said he “would allow the discipline of students by beating them if he became the Education Minister… but we are abiding by the Education Minister [Elias Bou Saab’s] orders to ban beating at schools.” [DailyStar]

Two brothers were punched by an administrator and a teacher at this school and the family has already filed a complaint with the school and the Education Minister. However a complaint is not enough: The Education Minister should investigate the matter, fire the principal and make sure he never works at any school ever again.
