Even if the company wants “her” to promote the Bible, they shouldn’t request a christian “lady”, but someone who is very familiar with the Bible. I would qualify as Christian but I doubt I’d be able to help with any of their christian needs.
This is complete discrimination and utter stupidity! and the sexism is the other half of the story!
actually its 800$ for coordinating their Facebook and twitter thats pretty generous, i do this at work for freeeee : ( { bas they seem open about any sect – very tolerant- }.

Well at least they are honest… The idea and discrimination is very stupid I agree, HOwever these guys are at least honest (or “we2hin ktir”) all companies do that, but they just dont say it, they sort out with the name, adress they get from the CV. So let’s not all act shocked…

I can’t see the big deal here. Did you guys forget that the highest positions of this country are:
‘We need a Maronite man (with respect to all religions) for president’
‘We need a Sunni man (with respect to all religions) for prime minister’
‘We need a Shiite man (with respect to all religions) for speaker of the parliament ‘

I actually agree with Dany,that is not shocking at all. The guy posting that ad is very honest, he does not trust anyone from different religious views. This is totally normal and that is the way things work in Lebanon whether you like it or not. And the “lady” part he is also very direct about it, he needs a women he can flirt with from time to time ,and that is okay because from the ad you’d know what you’re signing up for.
I wish all job opportunity ads were as straight forward as this one. But for a picky guy he’s too stingy, I think he could offer more than 800$/month. For 800$ he can get a macho “Muslim” guy who can use Microsoft paint as a design tool and is also color-blind.

I totally agree with you, education i good for everyone and books are a good tool to achieve it. But what’s with “man up” ? it is too sexist for me. And what insulted me the most is getting an advice from someone using the word “dude” refering to a person. The word dude was originally a term of mockery for young men who were overly concerned with keeping up with the latest fashions. But today it is used an american slang term which if I may say used by the “uneducated” youth referin to a person in order to seem “cool” , “hip” or whatever you kids are using these days. And i can’t understand how it came to be in the context of your comment.

I think you’re the last person to talk about sexism since you said earlier that because a women is requested for the job it just means she is requested for sexual reasons. How ignorant and sexist can you get! A lot of job ads specify which gender they want in lebanon so you think every job ad requesting a lady means shes gonna be hooking herself and every job requesting a man is decent? hmm you never know maybe the one requesting a man also means he needs a man to flirt with from time to time(Sarcasm). I doubt people are that frustrated these days that they need to hire somebody in order to get some. And whoever thinks that way is clearly frustrated himself!
Why is everyone making a big deal out of this. it isn’t the first time i see a job ad like that they’re always asking either for a veiled girl or a syrian man or only men can apply or only women. don’t compare here to europe and canada and the USA this is lebanon and this is how it works here at least they’re being upfront about it they could’ve not put that and wasted a lot of peoples time. don’t get me wrong i am completely against this racist behaviour but its not shocking anymore. and p.s 800$ for all that? thats like 3 jobs in 1. muslim women should count their blessings 😛

In Europe even for construction workers which is mostly a men’s work, job calls have to be for male and female candidates by law … But by identifying religion I guess it’s considered as a discrimination crime
