She’s a talented novelist and singer, she launched her first album back in 2013 and her most recent single back in 2017 and she’s coming to perform live in Beirut on November 1st for a first-of-its-kind Lebanese Russian music blend.

Maya Waked is a Lebanese Canadian artist who recently performed at the prestigious Place des Arts in Montreal . A close friend of mine shared with me videos of what he called an enchanting night with remixed popular songs back from the 80s and 90s.

I’ve been listening to her album “Helm Majnoon” all morning, I love the mix and the modern twist she’s bringing to the songs.
