If there is anything worse than a typical Lebanese driver, it is a typical Lebanese taxi driver. Most of them are not yet used to this new invention called the traffic light and so sometimes find themselves ahead of the light unable to see it when it turns green. To accommodate this new “obstacle”, they refuse to stand back in line with all the other cars and instead rely on their hearing senses and accelerate once they hear cars heavily hoking behind them.
Speaking of taxi cabs, I just saw a small car accident under Sofil between a Taxi cab driver and another car. Taxi cab guy didn’t seem like the typical cab driver, he was pretty laid back while the other guy was the opposite.
not only taxis, 80 % of the lebolandish drivers do not respect the lights
they r always in a hurry
True but not 80% of lebanese spend their time driving around. Those taxis are crazy, and the mini-buses and buses are even worth. They would kill each others to pick up someone.
What I find as annoying as drivers running red lights, are drivers who think they’re kings of the road and create a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th lane to get through traffic and end up driving on the wrong side of the road, and causing even more traffic when they want to squeeze back into the proper lane. Pisses me off.
