Lama Yassine met many of her friends last week as if she knew she wouldn’t see them again — the 31-year-old Lebanese woman died in the early hours of Saturday morning in a car crash.
Described by her friends as someone who loved life, Lama died on Saturday at 4.30am when her car suddenly veered off course and hit the central reservation on Al Khail Road. [Link]
I was asked by few people in the last couple of days whether I knew Lama Yassine or if she’s a famous person since everyone’s been mourning her online. Even though her face does look familiar, I only know many friends of her but Lama was apparently very loved by her family and friends. Lama Yassine’s body will be flown to Lebanon for the funeral.
Sincere condolences to her family and friends.
I didn’t know Lama, I used to see her playing basketball in Beirut and that’s about it, but I know Al Khail Road and that it’s one of the most dangerous roads in Dubai.
I noticed a sentence in the article:
“Lama […] died on the spot after she was thrown out of her car that overturned and landed upside down.”
Wasn’t she wearing a seat belt?
Condolences to her family and friends.
apparently she wasn’t
RIP
Al Khail road is like any other highway anywhere else in the world. it is only dangerous if you are drunk driving or driving way above the speed limit and lost control. all you need to do is respect the rules and drive carefully. People never seem to learn though…
She must be drunk driving @ 4:30AM
Bala ra2yak l mech bwa2to ala ykhalik !!
If no one knows her how/why did she invade our Facebook?
Alla yerhama anyways
& u must be stupid to find nothing else to say on such a sad day
@ tony
hmmm…drunk…no seat belt…natural selection…retards dont survive!
Guys, haram to speak ill of the dead – regardless of how one dies. We should only remember nice/good things. She is infront of her God now and yes we can all learn the importance of safety on roads but please no cruel remarks.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything.
Allag yer7amek ya Lama wa ya sabir ahlek. May you RIP and Allah have mercy on your soul.
Well said Dalia, but these people are way full of anger, & ignorance.
Stupidity Sans Frontière.
stupid people give stupid comments
@ Berna, & you must be so stupid to comment on my post.
Drunk & no seat belt WOW
@tony my full name is mentioned above so that you know exactly who is speaking to u. I suggest you wipe the attitude off and stop using rude remarks. I think I speak for everyone when I say Shut The Fuck Up.
Not everyone, Johnny.
