I just realized today that I’ve passed by Ehden many times on my way down from the Cedars but never really visited the town properly (Gino will hate me for that!). Ehden is one of Lebanon’s most beautiful towns and is located in the heart of the northern mountains of Lebanon.
I am going to try out a new venue called Kroom Ehden today so hopefully I’ll have a glimpse of the town and plan a whole weekend there soon enough. I remember passing by Ehden Country Club to check it out once during the winter and I wasn’t impressed at all but Kroom Ehden looks very promising, at least from the pictures I’m seeing.
Ehden is beautiful and fun. It’s nice to stay in town and enjoy the diwaan. In summer, it’s hopping there in the middle of the night.
you meant MIDAN*?
It’s called midan and not diwan! I was in Kroum at the pool on saturday as well! Did not see you! i hope you liked it! Should you need any tips for your weekend I’ll be happy to assist 🙂
THANK YOU! I asked my husband to remind me — he’s from Zhgarta/Ehden and certainly knows and yet his answer was diwan. I knew it didn’t sound right but couldn’t argue — clearly we needed coffee! The midan is awesome– love, love it.
Now soret ta3refa, and I forgive you for your past transgressions!
Midan, not “the” midan? Yes, we did have that discussion. What is the translation for midan?
Anyway, I think the best places in Ehden are the forest and MIDAN! I am not convinced that anywhere else in the area could be lovelier or more fun. Maybe that depends on one’s age and interests; at the same time, nice is nice. Am I way off? If so, then what?
Can anyone take a picture of Angela’s Pastry located on the road to the nebbe (river)? of both outside of the store and the inside. I haven’t been in Lebanon in 21 years and miss Ehden very much. Thank you.
