AUB Lecturer Makram Rabah tweeted earlier today that Abu Naji has unfortunately passed away. His old shop facing the AUB main gate, which dates back to the 1970s, was shutdown 10 years ago but he moved few meters away from it.

Abu Naji was part of the AUB culture and he was the kindest of souls, always smiling and ready to help. I remember once passing by a year or two after graduating and he still recognized me.
