Caretaker Telecommunications Minister Mohammed Choucair has requested both telecom operators in Lebanon to start selling prepaid recharge cards according to the official dollar exchange rate set by the Central bank. The cards will be delivered to distributors in Lebanese Lira and the prices will be as follows:

The minister is calling on the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Consumer Protection Directorate to prosecute anyone who violates this decision, but it’s already happening. A friend of mine bought the 50$ for 90,000LL for a local shop and he reported it. Let’s see how it goes:
