Everyone is tagging MTV on this ad but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on their website. It is a hilarious and spot-on ad. The video ends with ” بربكن صلحوا الطرقات الزفت” in an attempt to shed the light on road conditions in Lebanon but I can’t find the full version yet.
I see it as a cry against sectarianism and how it is non-sense to mix religion with everything.
We’re in the month of April, remember.
I bet they chose Christianity here because it’s easier to make fun of it instead of making fun of Muslims, for instance.
No one is making fun of any religion.
Get over this silly interpretation of things.
They are not making fun of religions… they just stated christians for not to have some problems.. if u realise in the end the slogan that they wrote.. بربكن صلحوا الطرقات الزفت… it is just for road safety and the situation of roads in lebanon..
Jimmy,
I agree they are not making fun but I guess what Patrick is saying it’s easier to use Christians as an example being a Christian station. But again I ask you here: Why would they have problems and with who?
Ah, yes, I meant that they couldn’t choose any other religion because of censorship and extremists.
Also, they are indeed making fun of religions in this caricature, it would be hypocrite to deny it… And there’s nothing wrong with that!
Caricatures are great ways of reflecting on the situation of any country.
PS: I knew people would jump on their high horses when I mentioned that.
I’m sure there will be Sunni, Shiite and Druze versions soon 🙂
