The IAA Lebanon Chapter held its first IAA Half of Fame at Casino du Liban on January 27th and “honoured 17 railblazing individuals whose remarkable contributions have left an indelible mark on our advertising landscape”, including: Mustapha Assad, Walid Azzi, Jean-Claude Boulos, Farid Chehab, Antoine Choueiri, Samir Fares, Bernard Fattal, Erwin Guerrovich, Alain Khouri, Akram Miknas, Edmond Moutran, Ramsay G. Najjar, Fouad Pharaon , André Rizk, Ibrahim Tabet, Mounir Takchi, and Ghassan Tueni.

During the ceremony which brought together over 400 guests, tunes of vintage Lebanese commercials from the 70s, 80s and 90s were reproduced through three amazing musicals by CATS Production.

The musicals were shared on IAA Lebanon’s FB page and I’m including one of them below.

It is worth noting that the IAA President Naji Boulos is also behind a beautiful initiative on Facebook named Jicébé, a tribute to his father Jean-Claude Boulos, a pioneering figure in advertising and television in Lebanon. A street was recently named after Jean-Claude Boulos in Beirut as a testament to his remarkable journey.
