For years, I refused to buy a water cooler at home because the bottles are plastic. Put aside the fact that they’re harmful to the environment, they’re also harmful to us as I’ve seen the way they’re transported and exposed to the sun all day long.

I got a Talaya cooler almost 6 months ago and I’ve kept it because they offer recyclable glass bottles. The best part is that the bottles are hidden inside the cooler so it’s not a hazard especially with kids around.

Going back to their ad, Talaya is making use of Halloween to send out a message that plastic is bad for the environment and for us people. In fact, a recent study showed that Lebanon’s water was among the most highly contaminated plastic-wise, which is quite alarming.

Plastic is the enemy. Drop it and go for glass bottles!
