According to Passport Index.org, Lebanon and North Korea have a passport power rank of 73, which means that you can visit 44 countries without a visa using these passports. Cambodia and Gabon also share the same score. In terms of Arab countries, UAE is on top with 72 visa free countries while Lebanon has the worst ranking which doesn’t sound right specially when Syria is still ahead of us.
Here’s the full list of Arab countries with their corresponding ranking:
47– United Arab Emirates (72 visa free countries)
52– Qatar (66 visa free countries)
54– Kuwait (64 visa free countries)
57– Saudi Arabia (61 visa free countries)
61– Bahrain (61 visa free countries)
63- Oman (54 visa free countries)
64– Egypt (53 visa free countries)
68- Jordan (49 visa free countries)
69- Syria (48 visa free countries)
73– Lebanon (44 visa free countries)
The US topped the list worldwide, followed by United Kingdom, France, South Korea and Germany.
PS: The Henley & Partners Visa Restriction Index shows the Lebanese Passport in the 88th position (out of 93).

The people who can/should enhance this are not affected since they all have diplomatic passports and couldn’t care less about average Joe. The last time this subject was brought up, the ISF completely missed the point and directly jumped to arms defending the technology behind it as if you could beautify a piece of shit with some diamond earrings!
The sad reality is Lebanon was is and forever will be a dirty rotten failing prison 🙁
It’s not only that we need visas everywhere.
The visa procedures for us are among the worst!
For Vietnam, you can only apply through the consulate in Beirut, it will take at least 2 weeks (took 3.5 weeks for me) and you have to pay 220$ to apply and 50$ at the airport, for almost all other nationalities you can simply apply online for < 20$ and get it in as little as 1 day and pay the 50$ stamp at the airport.
Just sharing my frustration with the recent situation I was in.
Yeah i have lost all hope in this wretched country and the ogres running it.
At least North Korea has the A Bomb,…
On a positive note, I hope that the new biometric passport (according to wikipedia: to be implemented on passports issued after 1 June 2015) will make things better for us.
Oman rank is 63 with 54 visas btw
Joe,
Thanks. It was different when I checked it.
Visa conditions/restrictions are sometimes based on reciprocity. It would be interesting to see how Lebanon treats foreign passports (i.e., does it require a visa – even a free one at the airport). It goes without saying that if we impose visas on foreigners of most countries they may be doing the same for us (which would mean that our passport is not as intrisically bad as this report suggests).
Full list of arab countries, really? What about Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Lybia, Morocco?
or (ok, academic for visa matters, but still) Palestine?
