A lot of people, including myself, were happy to see Nadine Labaki on Beirut Madinati’s list, not because she’s a celebrity and a well-know figure in Lebanon, but because she’s a hard-working and highly influential person in her field of work. Very few people were able to connect with the Lebanese and represent everything that is right and wrong in our society the way Labaki has done so through her movies. Her latest masterpiece, “Halla2 La wen” (Where do we go now?), is beyond brilliant and shows how passionate Nadine is about Lebanon and its people, and why she’s a perfect candidate for Beirut’s municipality and even for parliament.
If you’re still not convinced by her candidacy, check out her awesome reply to “Abou el Abed” today.

Ya hek ya bala!
Go for it Nadine
Dear Nadine Labaki I am one of your biggest fan , now more then ever .
I read all the programs of Beirut madinaty .
Great program I really hope and pray that the politicians won’t ruin it !!!
I have 2 comments , hope they are constructive .
1st : the Lebanese people have been blessed for years by the Mafioso families in all departments iof Beirut ..it’s a factcorruption everywhere !!!!
How are you all going to tackle that problem ?
Some areas pay loads of money in the city for the municipality and get nothing in return .( like Ras Beirut) .
2nd: Putting cameras in the streets is a must nowadays , to keep the city safe .
3rd : they said that they will in a way, in the program ,push people to rent their assets or the will pay in way for not renting them .
I find this little bit not specific , it should be applied on those tycoons who own the city and not on all people , especially those who work and live abroad and worke hard to have a place to return to, in our beloved Beirut .
Knowing the corrupted system they will take advantage of people and let them pay for it !!!
One more suggestion .
Cars with Odd and Even numbers should take turn in the city , like in Greece and other places .
Roof top gardens are a must in our city !
Every building can have a garden on its roof.
Last suggestion !!!
Those big and beautiful governmental monuments who are only used by their highnesses , should return to the people and become touristic destinations .like everywhere else in the world !!!!
This way we can have more money for our city .
Good luck for all of you and we hope you will bring the change needed to our beloved country and especially our beloved city Beirut .
Naha Mahfouz .
From Dubai with love and respect to all .
Good Luck, continue the good job. We need a women to do a better work. We have to make a difference.
