If you happen to pass by Sursock street in Achrafieh, check out the newly renovated Nicolas Sursock Palace. An underground building was newly built for the museum and the whole palace was refurbished and will feature exhibition halls, a 170 seats auditorium fully equipped, laboratories, cafeteria, library and a training Center.

I have 3 comments:
– First of all I’m really glad that this kind of projects re being funded in Lebanon and i hope more will follow.
-Second, what’s with the huge golden pot in the middle of the section? it is really ridiculous. It feels like someone took the time to draw a simple, clean section with the right amount of details to be comprehensible on this scale, and then remembered this awful pot ( that i concluded it really exists as shown in the picture above it) and just googled ” golden pot” cropped it and threw it in the middle of the section. In conclusion it is out of place and it’s not that important for the section so just remove it.
-My third point is going to be about the new web design of the blog. I personally prefer the old layout because the boundaries between a post and an other were more defined and now it is more “open” , fluid” and “a la suisse!” that don’t really go with the intention of the blog which is “baladi” and humble and the paper banner that used to define the blog is now stuck in the middle in an awkward manner. What I am trying to say is “Mabrouk” on the new design, change is sometimes good and no matter how the layout is I will always read your posts.
Good luck!
Hi Carl,
I was wondering the same about the golden pot but let’s wait and see how it turns out. As for the blog design, I am still working on it and there are still changes to be implemented and things to fine tune.
Carl seems to be having a really bad day. He is actually right about everything he mentioned .
