I never had to return tickets to the Virgin Ticketing Box Office until now and I just figured out there’s no refund policy but I couldn’t understand why.
I bought my mum a ticket to Magida el Roumi’s concert on the 25th of June 2011 but she no longer can go cause she got invited to a wedding. The ticket cost me 115,000 LL.
My question is:
– Why can’t I return the ticket if the concert is due in one month? Shouldn’t there be a time frame within which we can return our tickets?
Suppose the ticket holder had an accident or an injury or God forbid died. He also can’t refund?
Last but not least, what’s in it for them if I refund it or not? Tickets are getting sold out weeks if not months before the concert.
if the ticket holder, God forbid, dies, I’m almost sure refunding will not be on his mind 🙂
Najib,
Are the seats reserved?
Hi Najib,
Where is the concert being held? are the seats reserved…?
Maybe not his but his family or relatives.
Jeff,
The concert is in Fouad Chehab Stadium. Seats are reserved. If you are not asking for the ticket, I am gonna almost surely give it away to a relative who likes Magida .
N.! U beat me to it!
That was my thought exactly!
Najib,
the reason I asked the question was simple. If people decide to return tickets for whatever reasons; a few problems would arise.
First the cost of administration.
Second the seating arrangements will be all screwed up. They might end up single seats scattered all over the venue.
Also, they would like to take the cash and cover their expenses ASAP.
That’s why all ticket sales are final…at least in USA.
Jeff,
You are right and this is why refunds should be accepted under exceptional circumstances and before a certain time frame.
Up to 3 or 4 weeks before the concert should not cause much trouble.
Tickets are not refundable even in Europe or the US not just Lebanon. I bought 2 tickets to Nine Inch Nails Dublin concert but then I found out how expensive flying to Dublin would be and got stuck with the tickets.
I agree najib if it was a small(charity) event. However how do you define exceptional circumstance? Sick, broken hand? Broken heart? Cousins from Iran arriving for vacation?
My point is since Virgin is the middleman they can not pick and chose and make arbitrary decisions. Although I thought everything was possible in Lebanon if you knew someone in the right position (wasta?).:P
well at least they do refund if the concert is canceled, that’s a plus…
but seriously, People in Lebanon tend to abuse everything that serves them..i was surprised H&M is refunding these days…I’d like to know how many people get an item, keep the tag on wear it for a day and then return it…
that’s what the Lebanese do abroad, some of them…
refunds are great, but when you deal with a population that is bent on ruining you…no refunds…
hi nagib how are you , if you are interested i can buy the ticket call me on 03879223 or contact me at : cha__noh@hotmail.com thankss
Speaking of returning tickets..I have to see if they will refund my Earth, Wind, and Fire tickets that were rained out!! Blehhh! Why does EVERYTHING have to be so backward?!?
Am with refunding tickets with a certain amount of penalty as is the case with airlines
