The above statement was circulated in Souk el Ghareb saying that there’s a campaign to poison stray dogs starting the 5th of August, but Animals Lebanon contacted the municipality who denied being behind this campaign and said that they are seeking proper shelter for these dogs.
Respect to the municipality for doing the right thing.
Off this topic,i don’t think there are a lot of stray dogs in Lebanon, most dogs are owned .
There are however ,a loot of stray Rats on the streets ,no kidding ,seriously ,especially in certain areas like Borj Hamoud,Dora,Dekwayneh,Sinel Fil ,those are the areas that i least know of .So pleasee, instead of focusing on stray dogs ,they should focus more on the cleanliness and the sewage systems ,especially in areas not taken care of .
There are quite many stray dogs as a matter of fact. Maybe not in Beirut but elsewhere.
