English Translation: There’s an old saying that Lebanon is the Switzerland of the Middle East; I say that Switzerland is the Lebanon of the West.
The author of this blasphemous quote is our Interior Minister Marwan Charbel. Don’t get me wrong I am proud of my country Lebanon and its beautiful nature, but comparing it to the Swiss landscapes and sceneries is a complete joke.
in other words, “Badna Ndalna 3al 2ared wou nrou2 bi 2ouwwe!”.

Yes the Geography/climate of Lebanon and the archaeological sites are amazing and the Mediterranean sea is unmatched..but the people of Lebanon are its worst enemies.
Lebanon has nothing to do with switzerland, nothing in the world looks like switzerland.
They used to say that Lebanon “swissra el charek” because of the bank secrecy.
The first picture u posted, is not retouched…the colors are exactly the way u see them. Switzerland is a piece of art.
I agree. I just got back from a 2 day trip to Geneva and I thought it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited. It’s a lot more beautiful than Lebanon that’s for sure!
And still you haven’t seen the most beautiful part, Geneva is nothing compared to the rest of the country.
