Picture from Ragmag
Joe went to take few shots at the Zaitunay Bay with his DSLR but was not allowed to do so by one of the security guys. I’ve seen a lot of people taking pictures with their SLRs and Smart Phones there so it looks like security guys r not doing their job properly or one of them was having a bad day. This is the second time Joe is not allowed to take pictures in a place, after he was asked to stop taking pictures at ABC mall Achrafieh few months back.
I agree with him that it’s a silly rule from a marketing perspective as they should allow us to take pictures and promote the venue.
They’re sooo stupiddd ,they tell you it’s for security reasons ,what is this Iran??????As if Israelis don’t know every street ,foreigners know the street names better than us ,why not wipe off completely the tourism industry as if there are tourists in the first places ,this place is going to be Iran
The only people who fear cameras are the armed criminals running the country and ordering the Assassinations….a truly civil and free country would not fear photography in public areas.
Wake up Lebanon…
Same goes with downtown. The army people stopped me because I had a DSLR and told you can’t take videos..
In the Lebanese law no one is allowed no take pictures in beirut without the permission of “Mohafez” ,in addition to that , many people were also been stopped from taking pictures in rawche and the area …
