I have to disagree with you, this was extremely disappointing since nothing happens, there is no result. Everyone claps and cheers thats it? Maybe I’m missing something but when it started it grabbed my interest but the ending just sucked.
It’s not like their old ads which are pretty cool also. They staged the whole act and the guys came out to their friends’ rescue without knowing what’s going on.
It’s not your regular beer ad and there are better beer ads around the world but you don’t have that many good ads in Lebanon.
The NORTE PHOTOBLOCKER and ANDES TELETRANSPORTER are freakin hilarious.
i guess that makes more sense, the guys “sacrificed” their night for their friend. I think the idea might be there but their video needs to be reworked.
and im sure the only reason all those people are screaming just cuz they got a free night of beer. otherwise it would be too ‘class’ to yell in a pub..’yii akid la2 shu heyda’ u add free beer to the equation and u got a crowd..3/10 creativity and 0/10 for realness
the only thing original was the money part, other than that its like flashmob, no one expects it and they get yelled at or something…the element of surprise is lame.
valentines is a romantic holiday, freinds and beer had nothing to do with the day, and it would have been nice to see something that isn’t in the same style as everything else we see on the web.
I think you should start havin faith in lebanese ads and movies … Ok some of them are copied some are bad but we do have real creativity and there is no use of being so negative at least they are tryin to do something … And i liked the ad it made me smile
I would like to say that I’m a regular reader of your blog.
I really appreciate it, and I’m sending you all my good vibes for continuing to be the best blog of the Lebanon : )
I like the fresh feel of the Almaza ad
the cut out and stop motion is similar to that of Audi Bank tv ad. but its just a technique and using it doesnt count u as a plagiarizer
Its original and nice for a change and reflects how goog friends can be, and best of all (or maybe not) NO NAKED WOMEN (well, it might be nice to see a sexy model, but it would be misplaced, and im against objectifying women to sell unrelated products)

Now does the Alamaza one still look awesome?

“The Best Excuse Ever” is amazing.
Very creative concept
what did they acheive? people in lebanon should start being a bit more creative instead of repeating western ads ‘in their own way’..
Who did they copy?

The original thing was the theme and how friends stick to others and it worked for those who called their friends and they were cheered.
I still don’t see how you found it that bad.

what a lame add! no need to discuss it further.
Honestly it got my attention and smile at the very beginning but I was disappointed at the end… It should be re-arranged with a clear ending.
It would be better if they shortened it.

I might have missed something, but exactly why were they all clapping and cheering at the end?
