This is a poster from Roadster’s campaign on its new non-smoking areas. To be honest, i think they should stop smoking all the way because those non-smoking areas are useless specially when they are not isolated from the smoking areas.

Unless there is a physical barrier between both sections, I’ll continue to hold me breath.
in Roadster Hamra, the nonsmoking area is upstairs, and you really don’t feel the smoking, so it works 🙂
what’s the point of having non-smoking area’s, when the air we breathe is worse than 10 cigarettes a day? :s “ma3mal el-zouk aw chi kamyon ate3 min 7addak …”
Najib I agree with you 100% on this one. The minimum is to have isolated sections, or to follow the Starbucks example of allowing smoking in the outdoor area only. I think restaurants underestimate the number of people who would actually prefer a smoke-free environment. Roadster if you want to do a ‘clear the air’ campaign, then you have to make it 100% smoke-free!
Rayane,
True but i dont wanna drive all the way to Hamra to eat Roadster.
Dad540,
Starbucks is not really smoke-free, i’ve been to many where people were smoking even though it was non-smoking.
Even an outdoor section has to be isolated. Actually a Lebanese study was made on this issue and found that even in restaurants that had separate smoking areas, people were still being exposed to smoke unless the smoking are was physically isolated i.e. sealed off with glass and properly ventilated like in certain airports
Have to agree with you guys..having a smoking section in the same area as the non-smoking section, without any partitions is absolutely useless..but at least you gotta give it to them for trying! Hopefully their efforts will prove more effective the second time around.
