Darbet M3allem is a great initiative by a Lebanese young man called Serge Khairallah, aimed at bringing together young Lebanese professionals under one platform. The economic crisis that hit Lebanon in the last 5 years and the high unemployment rate among Lebanese professionals drove Khairallah to invest in this idea and take it to the next level.
Darbet M3allem has been growing steadily against all odds and has recently entered into a collaboration with USEK to provide specialized training programs designed to upskill Lebanese handymen and enhance their professional opportunities.
We’ve seen a couple of similar initiatives in the past that failed unfortunately but the circumstances were very different. I really hope this initiative gets the proper support to mature and inspire more Lebanese young professionals to take on jobs traditionally occupied by foreign workers.
