I was actually excited when I first heard Fauchon is opening in Beirut and even though I loved its desserts, specially the Eclairs, the food was average and expensive. The restaurant section was replaced few months back by a supermarket (Monop), but this combination didn’t work out as well and Fauchon closed down for good.
