A major blaze broke out Tuesday evening at a six-storey building in the Beirut suburb of Ain el-Rummaneh, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Preliminary reports mentioned that the blaze started at an oil change and car engine shop on the ground floor of the Najjar building before moving to a bags factory, then spreading to the rest of the apartments that were completely evacuated.

Smoke clouds covered Ain el-Rummaneh and the neighboring areas.

Civil Defense crews were still working to put out the fire. [Naharnet]
