Valerie Abou Chakra was among the favorites to win this year’s Miss World edition as she has been topping (unofficial) online polls for the past few weeks but it was Miss Spain who won the title. Nevertheless, Miss Lebanon proudly made it to the final 5 along with Russia, Indonesia and Jamaica.
I don’t know much about our Miss Lebanon but she’s really cute and I loved the small video she did on “beauty with a purpose”. Finishing in the top 5 is a great result and I hope that she will stay active all year long and work on important matters like women rights, child rights and freedom of speech in Lebanon. She could start by condemning what happened at Miss World 2015 when Canada’s representative was banned because of her outspoken views on the Communist government.

Why not? These ladies are working hard to maintain their flawless skin and slim figures. In a way, it’s an achievement.
