Lebanese runner Nesrine Leen Njeim was competing yesterday at the Valencia 2024 Marathon and managed to break the Lebanese National record by running in 2h 36 minutes and 4 seconds. Back in 2017, Njeim became the 3rd Lebanese woman to break the 3 hours barrier in a Marathon behind her sister Chirine Njeim and Lebanese runner Pia Nehme. The most recent world record for the fastest marathon ever run by a woman is 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 56 seconds.

Njeim has completed so far 37 Marathons in her career and also competes in half marathons, 10k and 5k events.

Congrats to Nesrine on this amazing feature!
