Zein Obeid was one of the three finalists on The Voice Kids yesterday. The talented Syrian boy was able to prove himself throughout the whole competition and made it to the final stages after impressing all three judges. Even though he lost to Lynn el Hayek from Lebanon, he remains one of the best young talents on the show and should be praised as such.
Unfortunately, Zein has become since yesterday a target for internet bullies as people are shamelessly sharing a picture of him that says “Ma Tsawwetle B3atle Farrouj” (Don’t vote for me, send me chicken) and making fun of the little boy because of his body. This boy was brave enough to get on stage and show his incredible talent in front of millions of viewers yet some people were insensitive and cruel enough to mock him because he’s overweight.
I honestly don’t know if Zein is active on social media, and if he will be able to understand what’s happening. I don’t know if the people behind the Voice Kids show will be able to help him overcome this bullying. He’s probably still saddened by the fact that he lost, and the last thing he needs is to become an internet joke.
I won’t be posting the shameful picture being shared and I hope you all do the same. I also hope that Zein realizes that these haters are just jealous and probably will never have the guts to go on stage and sing in front of millions.
Zein, you have a bright future ahead of you. Stay strong and turn your back on all the haters!
Here are some of Zein’s best performances:

very well said, thank god this stupid comment was removed.
Tu es trooooop mignon, j’adore ton sourire Zein. Tu es adorable. Tes parents et tes amis doivent etre fiere de toi. Groooos bisouxx
He deserved to win.
You have a beautiful voice. Just listen to
your inner voice and forgive those unconscious people who hide their weaknesses by insulting others.
Rather than have an article about the actual bullying details go viral ; this maybe inspiring more bored & bad intentioned viewers , why not publish a more positive one about his background with a you tube link to his great performance. Wouldn’t that be more constructive?
Point taken. I added some of his best performances at the end.
He is very talented cute boy
I love his character and especially his voice
We were from his voters
Life is ahead of him and he will be successful
Because we believe in his talent ❤️
Thank you for pointing this out.
Most of the people nowadays have ZERO emotions. They don’t think twice before acting (writing, mocking, speaking, posting… etc.).
I personally saw that on MTV news, I got mad, like, even on a KID we have to make fun of?
In my opinion every KID who got on stage deserve to win. Each one of the semi-final 6 is a winner. God bless them with these beautiful voices.
For those who just mock and have nothing to do “من يضحك اولا يبكى اخيرا”
COME ON PEOPLE WAKE UP! I hope GOD will light up your brain one day soon.
2 facts:
1 – the kid is as adorable as he’s talented. I hope he doesn’t get affected by silly haters.
2 – bullying is the reflection of one’s own insecurities. the more u bully the more ur a sad reality of a human being & a waste of oxygen.
Well said! He is a talented child that had more courage than most and overcame so many fears and insecurities just to get on stage and sing! Just leave him alone and stop with this insensitive, inconsiderate, plain mean bullying! At least avoid children in these acts of mokery! I’d like to hear one of those people get on stage and sing like him.
Bullying should not even exist, but if we take this particular case, in the first episode, the boy said that he will choose El saher (or whatever his name is, that iraqi singer), when all three judges turned, he said: bhebkon kelkon bass bekhtar nancy ajram. this little guy is a maniaaaaakkkk who owned all the viewers. haha
Moral of my story: he deserves to bully not be bullied.
if interested I can share a link, its hella funny.
