The month of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Himaya, the local NGO working on child protection, is initiating an awareness campaign and asking people to break the silence and report child abuse to Himaya.

Child abuse needs to be prevented and reported and more importantly children need help to overcome it and that’s where Himaya steps in. If you know about child abuse, you have no excuse not to report it and you would be doing far more harm to the victim in hiding it than reporting it.
