Kuwait granted Lebanon an $85 million loan Monday to finance the upgrading and rehabilitation of the Zouk and Jiyyeh power plants as part of efforts to overhaul the ailing electricity sector. Electricity ships should be arriving this week to Lebanon but we’ve been expecting them for months, so we will just have to wait and see. Electricity has been terrible lately and the generators are cutting us off now.
